TFZP for 2015-02-24: Nintendo’s New Nintendo 3DS XL
Our good friend Draelor is out sick, which definitely means one thing – we’ll be meandering and unfocused. Sometimes that results in a longer than usual episode, but this weak it means a shorter than usual episode. Seriously, we can barely function without Draelor in the room. That said, we did manage to eat some cheeseburgers, talk about “Wobbly’s Pin”, wander all over buying not one but two New Nintendo 3DS’s, play some Japanese Role Playing Game #22355 and even get sucked into a Link Between Worlds. Oh, we also turn into cows. Yep, this is certainly an episode without Draelor.

TFZP for 2015-02-17: Stripper Pole Bazookas!
Meorrow finished Persona 4! Meorrow finished Persona 4! The best part of that news being that maybe Meorrow will stop talking about Persona 4! In other news, the guys managed to round up a bunch of new toys – Kindle Paperwhite’s, New (and not so new) 3DS XL’s, Playstation TV’s and even some pinball parts (but no new tables…. yet). There was also a near complete Flaming Zonkey pilgrimage to CP Pinball where some of the FZ offspring made some of the FZ staff look like fools, talk of learning (but not turning) Japanese, cheeseburgers, snow days (including snowfall DURING THE RECORDING OF THE PODCAST) and finally, Draelor delivers his first ever hypothetical question and the human race is basically doomed because of it. Yep, it’s another (cold and snowy) episode of The Flaming Zonkey Podcast!

TFZP for 2015-02-10: Smell My Fingers!
Ahhh, February in St. Louis. 60 degrees one day, 20 the next. That little fact has… nothing to do with this week’s episode of The Flaming Zonkey Podcast! Instead of talk of weather, this week’s topics include the Valentine’s gift from Berzerker to the group, The Princess Bride, wrestling of the professional variety, Tesla (the band, not the guy), Meorrow’s quest to finish Persona 4 sometime this decade, ass beer and spatula hands. As if all of that isn’t enough, there’s more pinball talk, wherein Berzerker and Wobbly make an epic pilgrimage to visit “the one” after messing up a machine like only they can. DOES IT GET ANY MORE EXCITING THAN THAT? I DON’T THINK SO! LISTEN AND TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW! EXCLAMATION POINT!

TFZP for 2015-02-03: We Are A Podcast About Sports, Fitness and Mayonnaise
This week you’ll notice that we have a new format. Instead of talking about video games and books and other things nerds talk about, we talk about sports, fitness, and uhh, pinball? Seriously though, this week’s episode is full of talk about the big game, music (halftime show and otherwise), pinball, video games (more Guild Wars 2 and Persona 4, anyone?) and ends with a mash-up involving nipples, mayonnaise, babies and muffins. If that’s not enough excitement for you, WOBBLY GOT A NEW PINBALL TABLE AND HE AND BERZERKER FIXED IT AND IT’S AWESOME OMG PINBALL PINBALL PINBALL!!!!!!!!!!!

TFZP for 2015-01-27: The Other One That Wobbly’s Wife Should Listen To
This is a dark, dark episode of the Flaming Zonkey Podcast. If you listen, you’ll be able to hear, in near real time, the seeds of pinball addiction take over the mind of Berzerker. While listening to his descent, you’ll also hear about pick up bands, Metal Gear Solid’s craziness, pinball, scratching the MMO itch with Guild Wars 2, a Meorrow rant about AT&T and the iPhone (paraphrased from Fake Steve Jobs), pinball, looking at Vanna White naked, Soy Sauce drugs, pinball, wizards from the Lord of the Rings and the creation of a Super Bowl commercial about a vibrator that’s safe for everyone in the room. Enjoy this, the next great episode, of the Flaming Zonkey Podcast!

TFZP for 2015-01-20: The One That Wobbly’s Wife Should Listen To
Someone that is probably important is making some kind of speech or something tonight, but that won’t stop the Flaming Zonkey podcast from being nonsense as always. In this episode, you’ll learn about Draelor’s kids and Minecraft, how Portal 2 is a super-family-fun-time experience for Wobbly, how Meorrow likes to hang out with Japanese high school kids in Persona 4 and how Berzerker is a Child of Light. We also listen to a mash-up (but not a remix!), talk about some news and how DLC can be terrible and end up with super-intelligent animals immediately becoming hostile. It’s another week, so here’s another episode of the Flaming Zonkey Podcast!

TFZP for 2015-01-13: I Love Playing Man Fingers
In a world where the Flaming Zonkey returns to the studio to record another episode, the team discusses such exciting topics as Insanity Max:30, racism on Reddit and the foamy head on Henry Weinhard Root Beer. On the gaming side of things, we introduce a new feature: Berzerker’s Board Game Bonanza, where Berzerker talks about Pirate Flux, Small World and 100 different variations of Ticket to Ride. Wobbly played a little Shovel Knight, Draelor has started his journey into the magical world of South Park and Meorrow both loved and was disappointed by Shadow of Mordor. Oh, we also try (and succeed) to ruin dates in exactly 5 words. How exciting!

TFZP for 2015-01-06: Mitten Deep in a Chilean GGILF
The first podcast of 2015 is special. Special recording circumstances? Check! Special Guest? Check! Special cookies? Check! Listen along as 3 of the gang fall into the Cookie Clicker hole, enjoy the lovely Irish accent of our special guest, visualize the word painting we weave that describes Berzerker’s interaction with a Chilean GGILF all while overlooking the sub-par audio quality! You can’t possibly have a better time than listening to this gem of a recording! Exclamation point! Oh, there’s also discussion of a brown note wielding super-villain, The Fall, Jazzpunk, South Park: The Stick of Truth and Dragon Age. It’s another episode of The Flaming Zonkey Podcast!

The Souls games and how regular death encourages awesome level design
As many of you know, I’m a huge fan of the Souls games (Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2). These games are often regarded as hard, and to some extent that’s true. You’ll die when playing any Souls game, and you’ll do it a lot. It’s baked into the game’s core mechanics. It’s one of the defining traits of the series. It also encourages some of the best level design I’ve ever witnessed.
TFZP for 2014-12-30: Sweet Pickles and Disney Princesses
We end 2014 on a high note – champagne, video games, Christmas presents and a whole bunch of COMPLETELY APPROPRIATE DISCUSSIONS about the Disney princesses. Almost everyone has now played South Park, Meorrow finds a hidden gem of a tower defense game, Draelor continues to work on Dragon Age while shooting dudes with a bow in Crysis 3, Wobbly Chair plays with a monster in Papo & Yo and Berz uses a shovel on some bad guys. There’s also stories about negotiating with terrorists, writing physical letters, Draelor surviving the actual Flu and more discussion about Lord of the Rings (yes, more). It’s the last podcast of the year so buckle up and enjoy!
